1954 Entered a major London West End Advertising Agency as Studio Boy.
1955 Royal Air Force National Service - Fighter Command - Tac.Int.Ops. H.Q.Unit.
1958 London based Advertising: Designer visualiser / Art Director / Group Head. Worked as Art Director with writer art critic and poet Edward Lucie-Smith for six years.
1961 Award - Best Cinemascope Advertising Film - Cannes Festival - Notley’s / Clarks Shoes.
Discovered American Advertising after in depth meeting with Toni Palladino PKL New York.
1964 Creative Director / Producer / Problem Solver - London Agencies :Stuarts, Digby Wills.
1966 Joined European Trouble Shooting Team of NCK New York to launch Colgate Palmolive products and to coordinate international clients throughout Europe with Partner Agencies.
1967 Resident in Portugal to set-up partner new agencies in Lisbon and Madrid.

1968 A year of profound changes - Consultant based in Madrid London Lisboa and Barcelona.

- Founded a deep friendship with Greek Artist Dimitri Perdikidis in Madrid.

- Involved by Swiss Photographer Rene Groebli and designer Horst Rishgar in Stuttgart with the KODAK promotion at Fotokina. A 40 projector multi screen spectacular in Koln.

- New views formulated after Czech experiences and a return to Madrid.

- Set up Cottage Craft Textile Hand Printed Fashions “Creaciones Originales Estampados a Mano” with Aztec artist Marta Tuck in Pueblo de Valdeolmos Provincia de Madrid.
1969 Awarded best magazine advertisement - KODAK, when Consulting with J Walter Thompson Art Direction and Photographer - “Si no es mi complianos”...
1970 Director Creativo de Caribe - Based in Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana - Jamaica, Miami, Trinidad and Central America - Publicidad Fenix/CPV/Kenyon & Eckhardt Inc.

Have worked on more than 170 products on behalf of 90 separate major international clients in 10 different countries with international campaigns appearing in more than 20 countries at the same time.
1972 Gave up Advertising to journey to New Zealand with Meg and children Moira and Callum and stayed. After six days found McKenzie Bay Homestead and moved in with the sea for breakfast. Farm outbuildings became a beach side Atelier Studio and Gallery print workshop.

2008 Overseas study - As we had always thought we might live in the Isles we organised a house in Dornie Wester Ross and spent three months living as villagers in the west of Scotlan close to the Isle of Skye speaking Gaelic and researching the history the clearances and the peeople of the Islanof Raasay with local friends as I still hope to teach children at the Heads school the language and legacy.
2009 Expo - “66 years of Creativity “ -    A Retrospective Exhibition at Reyburn House the Northland Society of Arts. A month long one man show featuring Painting, watercolour, drawing, fashion photography, 40 hours of films including lectures and sketchbooks displayed on five 42 inch TV monitors with menus. Fabric printing, serigraphy, corporate commission interior design wall coverings, etching, assemblage, life drawings, pen and wash illustration,wood carving and sculpture. Also several dozen creative concepts as a file resource.
